Re: Show us your 22LR
Good one !, I've stuck up a few (very poor quality) mobile phone videos of me & my son banging away on the .303 on youtube, just do a search for cruisey1962 & you will find them, pretty boring vids, but maybe i'll get motivated to do some better ones one day.

Re: Show us your 22LR
This is my 1963 '1413' Annie supermatch, she is my pride & joy. According to American rifleman she was worth US $263.50.
It has taken 15 years for me to acquire one and I was very fortunate to find one in such pristine condition.
(If only I had one of these when I was younger as opposed to the old Marlin).
I found her by chance in a gun store in Dubbo, apparently she hadn't seen the light of day in 10 years, as she had been stored in a deep dark vault.
I had intended to use her in 200 meter Fly, however having to remove the shims and then re-zero her for smallbore on sunday is a real pain in the @rse.
To finish her off I sourced a Lyman 'all-American' 20 X scope from the States.
Generally I shoot above 195 with her and can place five through the size of a one cent coin at 50 and at 100 she still manages inch groups, which for an old girl is pretty impressive. Annie also has expensive taste, notably Eley match, Tenex & RWS.
I will be taking Annie to the rimfire titles in October.

Re: Show us your 22LR
Thanx Stinkitup, of all my rifles she has pride of place in the safe.
I recently just purchased a Savage 900s (still waiting on the PTA) although looking at Drew's Bruno and having owned a few previously I am thinking that I should have opted for another.
Drew that is certainly a fine looking rifle.

Yes I have a brno mod 2 as well, doesn't look half as good as Drew's though, bog stock though and hits most things in the field, although haven't used the 22's much in the last few years. Get this house sorted and might spend some time at the small bore range me thinks.

Re: Show us your 22LR
This is Leanne's most recent achievement, a five shot group with her model 4 Bruno (minus the diameter .22) the other night she shot 198 out of 200. Fortunately I shot 199. I now intend to take it a little more seriously.
For someone that has been shooting for less then 6 months she is doing really well, in fact she is putting some of the more experienced to shame.
The other is one of the best groups that I have shot out at Silverdale using RWS (I autographed the best and gave it to a mad Socialist Revolutionary so he could put it on his fridge, it didn't have the flier).
I knew when I squeezed the last shot that the rifle was not resting in the front bag correctly.
It would have been .127.5.
Kurcha,
Have you tried Eley Tennex in the red box?
It is far superior and more consistent to that of black box.

Re: Show us your 22LR
Just got a new camera the other week so I would put up some pics of my new brno, its the one in the back of the pic and my MPR64 that I have fiddled with for target shooting.
Re: Show us your 22LR
Heya Carl
Thats a beautiful rifle you've got there, like Sean said mate if she hits the mark then keep her forever. Something like that will out last your great grandkids if its looked after, those Czechs sure know how to make a rifle!
I've actually been seriously considering buy a 453 heavy barrel but in .17HMR, im supposed to be getting a large cal centerfire next but i just love the little plinkers...
Whats she shoot like mate? I've a got a Supermatch 452 in .22LR and can keep groups inside a 10c piece @ 50M no problems, do the Varmints shot much better that that?

Re: Show us your 22LR
hey hawkeye sorry about the late reply i havnt been on here for a bit .... i myself have only been shooting for 3 and a bit years and i dont take to the range all that seriously, only enough to be proficient enough to kill game cleanly, i can shoot it about like you said 10c coin-ish at 50yrds but my shooting buddy had a go of it and hes been shooting for 30 something years and put them all nearly in the same hole so its a good shooter im just not up to scratch enough haha but hopefully in time
