I have the sako quad wood with set trigger in .17hmr and .22lr on order. I am going that way because I want to be able to switche barrel - shooting .22lr at the range adn .17hmr in the field some times and packa away into a small case/bag. It is also possible to drop varmint weight barrels frrom sako (later this year) of liija strait onto them.
Aside from that, as already said, the cz for a pure field gun or the annie. (though I am not changing over from my existing sako p94 with the set trigger).
Which 22lr??

Way back in 1992 I bought a Sportco Deluxe in .22lr from a gunshop in Melbourne. It had a beautiful checkered walnut stock and I believe it had little use in it's previous life. I recall I got it for a very good price too!
I mounted a Tasco 4x40 scope on it and used to go out to the Springvale range where it would shoot all day into a group the size of a 20 cent coin.
I guess we have all done things where in later years we have wanted to kick ourselves very hard in the arse and one of mine is that I sold this rifle during some financial hard times.
I have a photo of it somewhere and if I could find it then I'd post it up here. My point here is, for little money, $300 or so, you can get a real shooter.
