At Leeton 300m Fly a month back I shot my rifle off bipods, field rear bag, and 4 groups mesured under 2", and 1 under 3". I also placed very high in the standings.
Yep I saw him do similar a year or so back, I got a few fly's with the 250 as well

Deer hunter vs. long range hitter - of course there are differences of opinion - Cranky Bugga is coming from the point that it isn't worth it if you didn't stalk in on it, and AI is coming from the point that if the shot isn't long enough, I have no interest - sure that stalking is an essential part of a hunt - but also so is being able to accurately place the round at any given distance.

No point chest beating guys as there is a fundamentally different form of hunting going on from either point of view just accept the different skills required to accomplish either.

I have just stumbled across this thread.................................OooooooooooooooooooEeeeeeeeeeee I thought this stuff only happened on other forums :D nothing wrong with a little shit slinging ........................................as long as not to much sticks.
One must remember what this thread is about and I dont think its about stalking deer,it's about a blokes rifles and equipment and if Trev can hit small shit way out yonder does anyone think that if its closer it will get harder  ....................not I.
As for pictures well that got me thinking as I have hunted for a long time and well I never really took any pictures.......................why not......................never felt the need to.......................................and the fact that I didnt carry a camera or own one Oh well I've obviously never hunted and killed game either Im confused :? .

Regards Chris.

Cranky Bugga wrote:Lets get back on track guys. AI has made an outrageous claim that he finds hunting under 300mts boring.

He has not been able to substantiate his claim by producing evidence of his multiple kills.(infact any kill)

I have the ability to tell shit from clay, an important asset when reading the internet

Cranky, you're making a dick of yourself here. now I have enough experience doing that myself to realise when others do it too. trust me, you've started an argument that just wasnt there.

If I blew up a bunny at 300+ mtrs while varminting, I'd be buggered if I would walk 600 mtrs there and back to take a pic

Now theres a statement that I will raise my beer to. If I wanted to shoot something by walking 600m, I would bowhunt alot more. My beer belly is very anti bowhunting.

Kjd, I would suggest it's a reference to the picture on A1's reply (in this thread) on Wed Jun 30, 2010 10:37 pm.

I LOVE IT :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
I better not post what shot WOODY WOOD DUCK and Dave pulled off the other week on a unsuspecting happily feeding pig cause they aint got a photo            but it was FAAAAAARRRRRRR and it creamed mine and daves record on a goat the flukey jammy goit       but I guess now I can put in a protest cause he aint got a photo

But you gotta love the internet it never ceases to amaze me how many .5 inch guns and .5 inch shooters there are out there and how many long range shots are taken but you don’t come across that many in the real world unless they are over a bench at a comp with 6 million flags around the place    (that is not a stab at BR shooters either) just making a point at what lengths they have to go to group on a normal day quote “normal day” and in the field you don’t have them luxuries at all. Posting a photo, like posting a distance wont prove anything at all how can it????
If AI or any one else for that matter can or cant shoot that far who the flamin heck cares............ he still got nice Guns'n'Gear and enjoys his shooting.

Here is a goat I shot at 7000mtrs blind folded with one arm tied behind my back while I was riding my horse

No, sorry Knackers, but the 5800mtrs record is for shooting the horse while riding the goat

Small but important difference.
