From memory... I dont think I had any problems cept chasing my brass if i pulled back on the bolt too fast. The first 9 or so shots were just one round and clean so i dont think i had any feeding problems the next nine was stress relief so I just loaded the mag full and shot. Tho I have only fired bout 19 rounds so far so may be too early to say. I assume it would be like my ruger .223 but the bolt is a bit smoother tho and the trigger a bit lighter. With the .223 ive only had problems with steel cases primarily WOLF shit.
I believe the mag held 5 rounds. The first round of a full mag may have been stiffer to strip but still loaded perfectly.

once you find what ammo it likes, buy 100 then keep your brass. Reloading with a few different brands of cases is a PITA. Call me when your ready.
Or you could go out buy 100 rem cases, a tub of 2206h rem 7 1/2 BR pimers 39gn SBKs and start the whole thing properly!!!

Re: Thinking of getting a .204rug? (some results at last!)
Finally got to the range today. Got the new scope zeroed. first group i shot was my best. Using factory Federal 39gn Sierra BK at 100 yrds.
It shows real promise for when i can start hand loading I hope to shrink the group by half at least.
Had one feeding problem with one round of 60 or so shot today, the tip flicked up and hit the receiver when I was pushing the bolt forward and damaged the plastic tip a little. I b elieve it was cause i must not have slide the round to the back of the mag when I loaded it. Also found that it doesnt like to be loaded by just dropping a round into the ejection slot and closing the bolt, it will chamber but wont lock or grab the cartridge rim. It only chambers correctly when a round is fed from the mag.
Now I just cant wait to get out to a forest to baptise it and try some instant rabbit disections (instantaneous paddock pizzafication)
I think I love .204
