Sounds promising. The Baikal / TOZ stuff is plain and workmanlike but it does the job and is generally pretty robust as well.

Can't wait to see the pics and some serious range session results with some match ammo, but 1" is plenty rabbit ready.
The wood is usually pretty agricultural, but you might be surprised at what the wood is like under the crappy vanish their coated in, reshape a bit and then stain and oil finish and they come up pretty good. :wink:

Took mine to the range today for field rifle in the rain up here in brisbane seems to like T22 for the std velocity "standard" target ammo. so far powerpoints are almost as good and they averaged round the just sub inch. I still need to test some more HV ammo but since I shot 339.3 with a rifle only just broken in and still improving I'm expecting better scores to come in the future.
