mmm nice im seeing it as sold already, yeah i think ill go with CZ, now i was going to get the american in .223 i like the varmit in kevlar but 1:9 twist (prefer the 1:12 due to size of pills) and is going to push the budget, what is the difference in noise and damage between the 204 and 223 or is it mainly to do with loads ? also i doubt ill be reloading. (223 slightly cheaper, bigger range of factory loads)MISSED wrote:Just to throw a spanner in here have you looked on used guns just listed a Rem 700 vls 204 less than 200 shots maddco 3 lever trigger Harris BR bipod $900 leaves you $600 for a scope
from what a understand the .204 is higher velocity and slihhtly flatter trajectory (this stuff dont matter to me) mainly being able to reduce noise and not turn rabbits into mist, these 2 seem pretty important to me.
i cant see much in it really, maybe the .223 is a better choice due to running cost and popularity.

Re: CZ 527 .223 or somehting else
Tiop, I had a .223 with the light weight barrel and with a bi-pod and rear bag I won placings many times at 100 and 200 yard comps and a couple of those were field comps.i cant see much in it really, maybe the .223 is a better choice due to running cost and popularity.
I reloaded my own ammo to achieve this and I give about 50% of the credit to the trigger for the results that I managed.
If your not going to reload, I found that the premium ammo would shoot half inch groups @ 100 yards no problems.
I have since had fitted, the varmint barrel and the laminated stock off Trevorts CZ that he customized to a 20 cal. I have yet to find the best load for it due to time constraints ATM.
You'll be able to head shoot rabbits with your CZ at 200 mtrs no worries, if your capable.

like hell you are you keen messaging me complaining about the trigger on it... I played with a CZ 223 the other day in shop. When set, the trigger is very nice as it is.
