whats the story with this smle con ??? what cal ? that looks a real treat . i like .

US built by Lon Paul. 348Win for use with 250gr and 280gr projectiles. Bloody nice! Smart build too as the pressures of the 348Win are lower than the 303British.

Throw it in the bin?

Only SMLE worth keeping is a traditional military one. I had a sporter never enjoyed it once.

surendering a aussie made veteran , is out of the question . i enjoy seeing our retired war horses still kicking around , at the end of the day weather fullwood or sporterized it is still a historical part of our culture . well at the end of the day i have always enjoyed shooting my 303 & conversion smle rifles . :D

Bang it into the ground muzzle first.

Plant a tomato next to it.

Tie tomato plant to aforementioned clunker.

Eat tomatoes.

Bah, I'd take a cut down Smelly as a scrub or bike gun for piggies over a modern bolt action any day. 10 rounds of .303 will put the hurt on a mob of porkers - seen it done. The one cardinal sin IMO is pulling off the .303 pipe and putting a sub-calibre .25 barrel on. 8)
