I've got both, 17 mach fireball is for rabbits and 204 will do those too but if its specifically foxes as the target then the 204 goes out with me.
I'm sitting in Missed's house waiting for rabbit time, my JAB 20 is about to be tested against his 204!!!

The Cooper rifles are nice, but do not care much for their triggers. With the type of rifle they are, I would have expected something a little more in this department.

I bought a JARD trigger for mine, it worked well, but it was so far overpriced it was not funny!

If you dont mind single shot, Rem XR100 in 204R.

Cheers

action wise i think they are much the same if not better. smooth as and less bolt throw. the trigger is an improvement over the lsa55's. barrels on the t3's in my experience and from what i've heard are exceptional and beats the old tikkas anyday.

the only let done is the plastic shit but then you'd be paying twice as much or buying a sako.

that said i'm still shooting and building off of the old 55's

i'm about to embark on testing 26gr vg's soon in a semi wildcat i've created/copied. i think, only think since i haven't tried, that the grenade won't perform too well in the 204 ruger since 32gr bullets group really well at 100m but open up after that. 39gr-40grs group the best and further out aswell so theory is the 26gr will be pushed to hard for that twist rate and may not group well. also other reports are that they don't perform too well accuracy wise in the 204 either but that could entirely mean something else like its just a lousy bullet.

although some people have had good results. i remember seeing some good groups with the 224 36gr vg out of a 220 swift on here a while ago.

anyway my wildcat is a reduced case capacity of about 25% and i'm hoping this will bring the speed down for the twist rate to group 26gr vg well enough. failing that i'll shoot 32grs, i'm sure they'll do fine.

pure speculation

Thats Andrew's (missed) son in law and my boy Xavier with my 6/250. The JAB 20 is the CZ in the black thumbhole.

Thanks for the photos Andrew, email them to me. Kerriet will like to see them. Wish I had been there when he skinned his first rabbit!!

The rabbit in the wood pile I guess that was 204'd. Not conclusive AK, I got some other photos to share

The 26VG's were absolute shit in the two rifles I tested them in. Both 20VT's, one a Cooper, the other a Rem XR100 with lilja barrel, trued the works.

I would not try them again. The Blitz King had it in accuracy over the Vmax also!

Cheers

Plus with the poor BC, the varmint grenades seem to be just more and more of a gimmick. Sure velocity is something, but missing targets faster wont make it any better. They will blow around a heap more than 32's and 39's.
