Sean,
The Brake is threaded and there is a cross bolt to secure it once it is in the correct position. The good thing about the Badger FTE us that it is not a timed brake in that you can remove and replace it without POI shift (I'm going to verify this). I have no idea what Shane charged me for it fitted, I told him I wanted it and it was included in the final bill. I should add that the brake is VERY effective, not needed on a .308 but nice to be able to spot ones shots. Bore sighting the bbl yesterday I could spot my impact at 50M, essentially there was no recoil on all but the hottest loads.
wb240, you'll have to come out and have a fondle and shoot of it at the range.
To your question, generaly speaking loading the projectile further into the case (or away from the lands) will increase pressure and therfore velocity. However jamming into the lands can also increase pressure

. As to which will lead to the most pressure, I'll let one of the Gurus chime in
Cheers,
Rath
