Its not that bad mate, just a bit of paper work each end.
By the way customs usually want to test fire the firearms when they come into the country to 'make sure they are safe and have the correct calibre stamped on them'.

Ah yes. The fickle finger of the bureaucracy intrudes upon reason. We have it here in the states too. Maryland has a state law requiring a fired cartridge for each pistol sold for "ballistics". Maybe that means something for a glock but means little for a revolver. So the rest of the nation gets the fired case when they buy the pistol. Guess who gets the expense of that little law? pogy in wonderland.
