Yeah, I have a lot of 6.5x47Lap brass, If I see it I buy it!

Then thing is I am still using the first hundred I brought when I built the gun!
They have 6 or 7 firings on them with probably as many again, from all accounts, a lot more than that!

Price per firing is quite low.

Most of my guns use Lapua brass because of the above!
Yes I know,

But, I seen this a couple of mouths ago at the local gun shop and Lapua is not really that expensive!

With the results we get from the 6x47Lap Andrew it's no surprise the 22x47Lap works so well!

Glenn a while back a young bloke i met up with at the range was chasing 300 WM brass. I offered him weight sorted RWS brass at $2 each and what i had left of my brown box and long discontinued Lapua at $2.50 a case. He declined and some time later i saw that he had purchased Remington brass. Around the same time a fellow on usedguns was chasing 300 WM cases. I offered him the same prices and he told me he had gotten on to something like Winchester cases if i recall rightly.
What can you say.

36 gr of 2206H behind Sierra 69gr MKTP gives 3650fps with no pressure

37.8 gr 0f 2208 gave 3750fps with the same pill splitting hairs for accuracy between them.

Killed a Field Mushroom at 462m (sorry Camel)The splatter effect was monumental

Killed a Rabbit at 620 something metres followed by one at 729 then missed a couple or more followed by a fluke at 785 lasered metres.

Pulled the bolt out removed the bipod and put the rifle away.

4 blokes witnessed it and my head is just starting to shrink

I think I like this combo

I've got some .224 75 grain Hornady "A" max here, do you want some to try?

I tried them in my .223, 1:9 twist 20" barrel. Could not quite get the speed to stabilize without the primer showing bad signs.
