How would you even identify a deserving target at 7km and that it was not an innocent local ? I once left the wife on a ridge guarding the gps set up on a standard survey mark, when I looked for her from my ridge 5km away she was a speck and indiscernable through the 32x instrument even though it was a cool, clear and calm day.

I did think at the time it would be a stretch for the Cooper

That is sort of what I was thinking. I suspect you would need to be a 6.5 Creeedmoor shooter to identify people from that far away.
