Bloody Wind

Post by MISSED »

Took the 6mmBr out to sight in and maybe dispense a few rabbits
Got the sighting in done and thought now for some Paddock pizza making.
Drove up over the hill and guess what the bloody change had arrived I still managed to smite a few and scare more but any time out and about is a good time.
This bloke was unlucky 311 m

Personally, any shot over 250m on a rabbit is a damn good one in my opinion.

Nice

Yep was going to resight my omark yesterday, FARK ME, almost had my beanie blown off my head whilst checking the ewe's lambing. Got the sleet today, won't be surprised if it snow's again soon.

Wasn't a great day to be born, lamb or calf.
Lost one calf today. Silly cow calved in a wet gully, poor calf frooze.

What part of the southern highlands are you in Macca. 50 Km's south of Bathurst here. We have had a fairly easy time so far with lambing so far, due to start calving in a fortnight. They do decide to to lamb or calve when the weather is the worst. Someone said when the pressure drops you get more animals giving birth due to pressure change which cause's the water to break when they are close.

I manage a place at Laggan near Crookwell. Another at Rosyln and live near Tallong. 44k north of Goulburn.
Animals do love to give birth in the crappy weather. Guess it could be the pressure change.
Calving has been good till this weekend.
