Hot rods

Post by trevort »

I took the 22x47l with me to visit Luke today for a very minor adjustment. I thought I would get him to run his borescope down it

I know it's overbore and I don't expect long barrel life. That's good. I won't get it. Quite a lot of wear already.

I haven t kept count of the rounds but played with more loads than I normally would and let it get quite hot smacking gongs at Yass. Guessing 300 max.

Oh well, if I rotate it with other rifles should last another 10 years!

He came up with the excuse of needing the bolt to work on his design for a new 22lr rifle action. Im not sure how long it will sit there while he trys to get motivated on that one. I dont think i have shot it in a year or so.

You thought right. I spotted it not long after it was put up.
My only surprise is that I waited till they opened this morning to ring and put down a deposit.
