Ran it in and it's a ripper of a barrel, cleaned up real easy , then came load development and I'm fair dinkum when I say there was none other than upping the powder a little here is the best and worst of 4 5 shot groups at 200 yds with flags , the mirage made it a little hard , the best group is 41.5 grains of o8 at 4320 the worst 42 at 4380 with a 40 grain b/tip

If your in Nyngan all week that would mean the swift is at home alone

just for safety reasons you could drop it in on your way past

No maddco fluted the barrel, being a button rifled barrel fluting after heat treating is a no no !!!

Matt I have a couple of lilja liljas and a shilen fluted by Clancy. Do they use a different rifling process or was some risk taken?

In my opinion some risks has been taken, you'll get away with it sometimes BUT not always, I would never flute a delivered button barrel.

Dave I have the gun zeroed at 280 yds which gives me about 2inches high at around 190 yds and puts me about 2 inches low at 340 this is checked on a target at that range , it is getting along but there's no major signs of pressure , I use a full lenght bushing die to get the desired neck tension and I've loaded the same 50 cases coming up to my 3rd time as we speak with the primer pockets feeling fine , in the real world this load is devastating out 400 yds
