Man- that'd so shit me to tears, Mistit.
I mean- job done. And well done at that. But..but..but.....
Nothing more to screw with.
No more tinkering or tuning.
No more messing with powder or seating.
Just boring ole- "shoot it".
And every damn time you miss- every bugger knows whose fault it was!
Sorry, but I'd have to sell it and buy something else.

if it doesnt work on big pigs its just because you werent concentrating, it looks like you could pick which eyelash to go under on the way to the brain box thru the eyeball.
Looks cool
Light for calibre pills flat out, hmmm now there's a thought. Whats the draw back? (wind over long distance not counting as I dont shoot loooooong distances, we have discussed that before)

Thanks again fellas, Trev as you said we have discussed it but I remember somewhere reading at a a given range in long distance shooting a vld will win every time once we get bast 3-400 yds but under that in the real world on small varmints a light bullet at 3800 or more as long as its accurate is hard to beat , your right about head shooting them just gets a bit harder when they are running away from you

Re: Ok it's overkill but/well i tried it and she is a goer
Trev my experience is fairly good with the 40 b/tip , kieth hills put an rpa quadlite together about 8 years ago in 220 swift , I bought a full lenght bushing die and found 40 b/tips shot on the inch mark at 200 yds at 4400 , yes I had to full lenght size and yes primer pockets became a little loose but boy didn't it turn crows inside out especially inside 250 yds . I had a mate shooting with me once with a good 22 br driving 52.s at 3550 and a comment he made was when the 22br is getting hard to hit them with stick that swift out the window . In saying that if I could get a 55b/tip to shoot well at 3950 ish that's what I'd go with , once you approach the 4000 barrier any of them do a good job to 350 or a bit more as far as flat and explosive goestrevort wrote:You have me thinking about 40 gn pills in a 22x47 l

Re: Ok it's overkill but/well i tried it and she is a goer
G'day dave it's a 6-20 weaver grandslam , I have a nightforce for long range target shooting , some may say it could use better but I've owned some of the most expensive varmint scopes you can buy and the weaver still takes first place on my varmint rifles , ill mention this . When I bought this scope about 9 years ago I rang Peter from pro cal and asked for another leupold he told me he would send me this and if I didn't think it was better he would take it back and give me a leupold 6-20 for the same price well it's still here and a bit scratched up but crystal clear and a great spotlighting scope and holds zerodave wrote:I may have skipped over it but what's the glass sitting in top of it?
