Two new family members.
Two new family members.
Finally got around to getting a photo of my two new Tikka T3 hunters. Both .223 and topped with Redfields - a 3x9/50 and a 4x12/40. Hope to get out soon to test out the Tikka accuracy and zero in.
Re: Two new family members.
Look good in wood. Why did you buy 2 the same cal though?
Re: Two new family members.
Was after .308 at the time but the LGS we were at didn't have any Tikka's in stock of it and also both myself and the better half being ex-army we were used to that calibre so just settled on the two .223's with every intention of getting a .308 later on. With both me and the better half having a licence, we technically are able to have 30 rifles/bangsticks each.
So we might possibly need a bigger safe in the next few years..haha

Which model Redfields are you running? I run a Redfield Revolution 4-12x40 and I'd be interested to hear how the 3-9x50 compares. With two identical rifles it would make for an excellent comparison.

Re: Two new family members.
Some of the timber on the Tikkas is quite appealing, considering g the price.
Re: Two new family members.
Got the Revolution as well, with the Accu-range reticle. Probably won't get out for a couple of weeks yet, but I'll post a comparison when I get a few rounds through them. The Raven wrote:Very nice!kmsajb wrote:Finally got around to getting a photo of my two new Tikka T3 hunters. I think once the better half gets back into putting holes in things she'll want to add to the collection as much as i do.

Not the 50mm I'm afraid. Personally I really liked it, at the time I was running a vx1 on my 22 and didn't want to swap them back. If for nothing else friction adjust on scopes pisses me off. The redfield had click.

Is this a queensland thing? Please explain.kmsajb wrote: With both me and the better half having a licence, we technically are able to have 30 rifles/bangsticks each.

The first section I believe applies...I could be wrong, but going by this and also because my missus will have her own firearms licence and rifles of her own....etcDSD wrote:Is this a queensland thing?
