I cant remember but Im sure its someone off here.

Don't you be lingering on this type of thread too much either Mr No-more-builds.
Camel,
May have to start saving up for one of those special Maddco barrels everyone tells me are the bees knees for accuracy.

Hmmm ... I have a set of 204Ruger dies, and some 17Rem brass in the shed ... wonder what bastard child I can make with them!?! Have a Rem700 action that could be used for a donor, just what I need ... another bitza bastard rifle!  Mind you ... I have a few hundred 223Rem brass, so maybe a 20Practical would make better sense? Anyone got a reamer for one?

Johno will be off your back now though Camel, I got some CZ mounts in the mail ... so I'll be able to get 'his' 17PeeWee up and running. May take it slow though just to infuriate the old fella.
Cheers...

Con, maybe misfit will know who has a 20/222 reamer, or you could junk all those savage thing-o-whatsits you got and buy his Sako.

adamjp wrote:Even using a 204 reamer run in short and followed up with a 20 cal neck/throat reamer wouldn't do the job as the cartridge base would be too small.

The 20/222 looks like a damn good cartridge, I'll be interested to see how it matures through use.
I had my smith use his Tac20 reamer to cut my chamber short for the 222 case. works great with new brass. fired 222 brass was tight though.

Con a cut off 204 ruger fl die forms Jab 20 brass in one pass. Might work on 17rem brass just as well as 223 brass. But after forming the chamber with a 204 reamer run short t=you need to run a 20 prac reamer in to open the base a little. Hmm plenty of potential to stuff that up to get a shortened 223 case with 204 ruger shoulder angle and 30 thou longer neck.

Yep, I might remain the only JAB 20 owner I reckon!!!

Saw his name on the bottom the other day, think he is busy fixing up his bush retreat. From the photos I saw it looks like a nice little spot to get away from it all. :D
