Due to feeding probs with omark and the tiny case of the .20 vartarg i had it re-reamed to .204 finally got some time today to do some proper load testing, i am happy farkenoath i am
32 gr vmax's
Rem 7.5 primer
23.0 gr of adi 2207
COL 2.250 @ 100 yrds
I choose the 32 cos i doubt my barrel will stabilise the 40's and i have a preference for hornady over sierra hence no 39 sbk im sure the local fox population won't know the difference
Wood is walnut not sure on grade but has very good grain
Thats a beautiful bit of timber holding that action. Looks as good as it shoots. My weatherby vanguard which im pretty sure is just standard 1:12 hated any 40g factory rounds, 2"@100m Hornadys and 1"@100m federal sierra 39bk's. Since ive been reloading and able to seat the pills out further i can shoot 40's into .5'' at 100m. Im running the Nosler 40's with 27 grains 2206h at 2.34" COL, which is just 10 thou shorter than the magazine no idea how far off the lands. I just got some 39BK's to try because of the previous success but havent loaded any yet.
But with 32's at .4", if it aint broke dont fix it.
