300metre .204cal groups.

Post by native hunter »

G'day all
Thought I would show a group I shot with the .204 @ 300mtrs.
It was the first group of the day and the best, for me, as the morning went on the wind and mirage picked up and groups only got bigger, but this was my best.!!!
As you can see it is on an old fly target , I was aiming for the fly and it hit in the low of the V, I just cut this bit out this morning when I was at the range watching the muzzle loader boys go round, I actually shot it nearly two weeks ago.!!
I also shot other groups that were larger and also a few groups with the .308 sako.
I will put up a few 300mtr groups in a few weeks.(thats as far as we can shoot with benches.)
Regards

39 Sierras and 2206H, no surprise there :D :D :D That just seems to be the hot ticket to happiness in a .204. Note that combination seems to do well in most rifles. Congratulations on some fine shooting, in any case! :D :D :D

Lovely group; great shooting; now how can I justify a 204 on top of the 17 Rem, 2 rimfires, a 308 scout rifle, a 300WSM and a 416 wildcat?
Any suggestions?
ps. I don't have any working body parts to sell, they're all buggered!

All this talk of how good these 204's are is making me think I may have to get one and with 300 metre groups like that I wouldn't complain. All I have to do is convince the mrs it is really needed to fix up those little bunny's and foxes.I know I'll tell her its for relaxation therapy  relieves stress that should work.
Cheers Harehunter

Native Hunter,

You are the pin-up boy for the XR-100.

That kinda shooting could take the head off a bunny at 300, easy.
