3.5 Kva should do the trick mate. Can easily be loaded on the ute. Should be good up on the firing line for morning and afternoon smoko.
I don't know checked ours out during the storms and pulls 1500 watts
Yeah, Im not up on how to check the wattage output, but the literature with it from memory said its sposed to put out around 2,5 to 3,0 kva at the switch.
a genni that big should be able to run a house....
so you will be right in a camp.
no genni likes running a dead short appliance.toasters, jugs, electric frypans,heaters.....that sort of thing.
but a genny that big shouldnt faulter if you dont run more than 2 of those at a time, with other gear..
we all got gennis up here...power company and infrastructure sux major dick.
Is anyone here a sparky who can fix a near new genny I have?
Short story:
3 phase genny with 3x240V outlets and 1x3 phase outlet (rated 3000w or whatevers)
Ran it for several hours no problem, then had to move it out of the rain.
Upon moving it (running), the lights went out.
A quick diagnosis (removing the rear generator cover) found that one wire of a plugged connector had been loose from the factory.
Upon plugging it back together there's been no output since, although the engine runs fine.
I suspect the potted bunch of electronics that the plug led to (guessing it's the digital voltage converter) has toasted itself.
No point in chasing warranty, it's an ebay special (yes, I know...)
I figure there'd be a smart sparky around here that'd probably be able to fix it...for the challenge/free drinks etc.
