MISSED
Can you please lay down the rules for the meet up so everyone can get to study them before we go.
I don't fancy being shot or having someone around me shot and I'm sure we all don't either.
There's dozens of guns about and it's easy to slip up if not careful and it is life or death so it would be great to tell us what you expect, what to do and what will get you sent home early if you do.
Maybe you have covered this but I haven't seen it.

Your right Keith i should have done this earlier.
NO ALCOHOL AND FIREARMS PLAY That means when the Beer, wine or spirits come out ALL guns go away Whether it is yours or not.
Open Bolt rules apply
Shotguns to be broken and unloaded until your at the line
On the drives the guns are to be broken and unloaded as soon as the BEATERS are with 30m
No shooting from the camp
UHF channel 27
No shooting over the Horizon
No going forward of the firing line until a Stop Fire open your bolt.
This is private property so all gates to be left as you find them and no circle work leave that for the next B+S

Re: Safety Rules For Yass Meetup.
Please everyone be so careful. It doesn't take much for someone's or several people's lives to be ruined.
I don't mean to step on Missed's toes when it comes to this as it is all entirely his planning and I have a huge amount of trust in him. But if anything does go wrong we have all let Andrew down.
But if you think I'm being dramatic or whatever then you really need to read these rules again. I don't fancy being shot and everyone is placing a lot of trust in one another by attending an event like this. I don't like laying the law down but we can't fuck about with safety.
If you do something unforgivable safety-wise which I know no one won't and/or Missed isn't happy with how you conduct yourself I'll have no hesitations in banning you from here as well.
I don't like lots of guns and lots of people together at once but if we all follow Missed's rules and the golden rules of firearms safety we will have a great weekend.

The 12 Golden rules for Safe Gun Handling
Always treat the gun as loaded.
Always keep the gun pointed in a safe direction.
Always keep your finger straight and off the trigger until you are ready to shoot.
Always keep the gun unloaded until you are ready to use it.
Never point the gun at anything you don't intend to destroy.
Be sure of your target and what is beyond it.
Learn the mechanical and handling characteristics of the gun you are using.
Always use proper Ammunition.
Be sure the barrel is clear of obstructions before loading and shooting.
If your gun fails to fire when the trigger is pulled, hold your shooting position for several seconds; then with the muzzle pointed in a safe direction, carefully unload the gun.
Don't rely on the gun's safety to keep it from firing.
Be aware of your surroundings when handling guns so you don't trip or lose your balance and accidentally point and/or fire the gun at anyone or anything.
