I submitted Canberra, however was given an invalid error page.

Guys,
Same invalid response here too. I will attend, probably the only stretch of the friendship would be WA. Other than that, count me in.

Hmm Think Keith was testing some poll posts a while back, maybe the forum has an issue with them.

Re: AUST 1000BR Nationals Poll
Ideally, Canberra.
We have a 10 bench line, could arrange camping at the range, several hotels/motels within 10 mins of the range, and as some have said in the other thread, geographically well situated.
There's also the thing where 1K BR in Australia started here, so running the first Nationals would be nice.
Only problem with that idea is that it would be unlikely to be this year over a long weekend. The last National public holiday is mid June, and our range calendar is full until the end of June.
If the consensus is that it has to be run this year, I'd travel pending work commitments. Given enough notice it shouldn't be an issue though.

Ideally Canberra
I'm with Mick, we've got a pretty sweet setup here in Canberra now with 10 benches,
it's just that its almost impossible to modify the shooting calendar once it has commenced
as we have to allow for rained out championship days and stuff. If I'd been given more
warning about the interest in the Nationals I could have put it in the calendar for this year.
If it absolutely has to be run this year, I think I would travel in a radius of about Brisbane from
here in Canberra, the added incentive for me would be that I wouldn't have to be really involved
in the running of the event, again, like Mick it would depend on work, family etc.
I myself must say that I prefer to shoot from the ground or a concrete bench, I'm yet to shoot
from a portable bench that didn't feel like it was flapping in the breeze!
Cheers

So, I see discussion on this died in the arse.
What's the general consensus here? Wait till next year or is somebody else organising something this year?

Mick,
Lyndhurst is still being looked at need to get some dates but waiting on the club to finalise some issues in their calender.

Re: AUST 1000BR Nationals Poll
Seems to me that Canberra is the logical venue for many reasons - history, geography, amenities etc etc. The host club can be reasonably assured of assistance in running the match from all regular competitors.
