Photos of 1000yd Targets

during the year, the canberra club and then later the townsville club provided/sent all competitors photographs of their targets.
apart from being useful for checking scores and roughly checking group sizes, as well as shot location etc, this information can also be analysed for load performance/problems etc.
either on this forum or by pm could those who have an opinion on this, give an indication if they would like to see it continue in 2010 or vice versa.
cheers

I liked having the photos. It has helped me check a few things out.
As long as it isn't a drag for the blokes doing it I'd like to keep receiving them.
cheers,
Macca

I think it would be a good idea. I know I often go back and study my 500m Fly targets. I don't mind taking photos down at the butts .
Merry Christmas fellas

Dave, sounds like a very good idea to me. Innovative, cost effective and a permanent record much easier to store and display than an actual 1k target.
merry christmas to all

Think this is a good idea. I know at Brisbane for the past two Australian Shooting Games each target shot is photographed when scored, I am not sure if the this is done at every club shoot.
Hope everyone has a Merry Xmas and Happy New Year.

it would be pleasure to be able to receive and include some brisbane results with the canberra/townsville compilations in future postal matches with the Virginia 1000yd BR club.
in time, i am confident that southern queenslanders will be permanent members and participants in these international comparisons.
have a great christmas
see you at the fly/1000 in canberra in march
cheers

At the moment, it is a personal choice as to mode of shooting used for our 1000yd BR matches.
Some people are quite content to have all shots marked, where as others are prepared to have their results compared with other clubs in Australia or Internationally.
I don’t know many things, but I am sure that, regardless of the sport, there will always be Australians who are motivated and willing to compete
ON EQUAL TERMS with or against the best in the world.
The Virginia 1000yd BR club is arguably one of the strongest, if not the strongest 1000yd Club in the USA and in the world of 1000yd BR.
If given the opportunity, I would be surprised if there are not significant numbers of Australian competitors who would be willing to accept and continue to undertake the challenge of IBS 1000yd BR !!!!
Apologies for getting off the original "camera" topic.
It must be the last day of school
Cheers
