I have finally put my rifle back together with one of my new 4" offset stocks over the past couple of weeks and have been ironing out a few bugs with the new stock You will note that the stock is not fully prettied up around the action which will not be done until I confirm the bugs are gone!!
This coming weekend will see me give it a test run to see how it shoots but thought I would post a couple of pictures. The finished rifle weighs 7.035 kgs with the stretcher tube and nightforce scope giving me a good 650 grams to add to the stock weight where ever I want.
The stretcher tube is the aluminium tube between the action face and the nut on the barrel. By tightening the nut it "stretches" the barrel inside the tube and is supposed to make them shoot better

Definitely not the stability or tracking. The bugs have been what I think was unacceptable flex between the stock and barreled action. The stock was initially a hollow bedding area which I have now changed to a solid bedding area which has improved it dramatically and is now at the stage of being worthy of a test flight
