Thanks Lapua!
Thanks Lapua!
Hi all, Just started sorting 200 new Lapua cases (300WM) for the '07 season ..Quite frankly ,i could not be happier, early in the selection process but shit there good ..Weights are on the light end 1 ar 213.3 / 49 at 213.9 to 214.4 / 50 at 214.5 to 214,9 / 92 at 215.0 to 215.5 / 7 at 215.6 to 216.0 and 1 at 216.5....So throw away 1 high and 1 low ,use the 7 out on there own for testing and we have 3 batchs ,these 191 cases measured at less than .003 case wall run out and most were at .002. Naturally the best bunch will be the 1000yd cases after all the other checks are completed..Just the 1st step in a long drawn out lot of work i know but the 6 hours i spent is better than the f...in TV anyday...JR..Jeff Rogers
RWS !
Kenny , The RWS stuff is more durable than Lapua in all cartridges i have tried but it can be inconsistant in both the run out area and the weights.. I had to abandon a 7mm project with 9.3x64 brass because of the weights ,i got about 8 and half gns difference in just the 20 test cases .. There is no RWS that i could find anyhow in AUS and at $250 per 100 plus the higher cull rate it ends up at about $3 a pop.. TZ used RWS in his 300 Redneck for ages ,must have gone 15 reloads and he holds the 1000yd H/G score agg records for this country, he is nearly 20 points ahead every year in the 6 match aggs to the nearest competitor for the last 4 years .. So i guess if ya can afford it RWS is a good choice..JR..Jeff Rogers
