Federal Cup 500M fly & 1K BR 7-8/03/09 - Canberra

Post by Mick »

Well, the dates have been given now.
Federal Cup 500M centerfire Fly on Saturday 7th of March - 9am start as usual. Nominations to Jim McKinley. Would get in quick, because we have filled up for the last 3 of these.

1K BR on Sunday the 8th. Start at 8:30-9am. I may well need to run this one by myself, which should be interesting. Nominations to me at the Fly at the latest. Usually our busiest shoot of the year, so I have to do the bench draw etc the night before. Out of consideration for everybody else, if you dont nominate or are not there and ready to go by 8:30, we can't let you shoot.

Should be a fun weekend as always.

Hi Mick,
I won't be able to make the fly this March due to work. Hope everyone has a great weekend as I know you all will.

I KNEW THIS WOULD HAPPEN------ I buy tickets for the Country Music Festival in Thredbo, hoping the shoot would not be that weekend----- and look what happens. The Fly Calendar is still not posted on the Fly Page at ACT Benchrest.com
Anyway, while you blokes are shootin'--- I'll be boot scootin'
Good luck guys, I'll have to try and make the May shoot.

lol, i think its be "the black bastard" which if i recall was about 50Kgs all said and done. Couple that with id estimate 15kgs of rest, then bags and windflags cleaning gear etc sounds about right :P

And yes, looking at the thing it could be used to defend a small country.

Jeff I've contemplated it mate but given i only have a sporter weight .17 rem atm im thinking the 500M might be a buit steep to get started with. That and the only vehicle would be a ute IF i could borrow it
