Jeff,
I believe that due to sleet and high winds(35 kph with gusts to 70) they shot one target then packed it up as a bad joke.
I am sure Mick can give us the good oil though.

Well, we ended up with only 6 shooters, all locals, and ran an abbreviated 1 target match because it was raining (well, more heavy sleet being slammed into you by the wind that made it like putting your face in front of a sand blaster) 20 mins on 10 mins off, and blowing about 35-40 with gusts that were coming close to snapping target frames, so I'd guess 70 or so.
Was more of a shoot for the sake of not having dragged our gear and ourselves out there for nothing. Our other option was to run a 4 target fly shoot next door for fun, because then we would all be under the shed most of the time. But, the sun peeked out for a while and gave us false hope, so we decided to set up and see how things went. The patch of sun we got was gone by the time we had got flags down the range.
I ended up taking light gun with 46 score and a 9 inch group. Richard Wild took heavy gun with a score of 88.1 and an 18.5 inch group.
Yes, it was a cold, terrible joke. Still, better than no shooting at all I figure.
I'll post complete scores and calculate SOTY in the next day. First week back at work since the boy was born and have been flat out.

i checked sunday's canberra airport winds via weatherzone, and according to the data shown, from 10am until about 5pm, continuous and erratic southerly winds of approx 30-45 kmh force were the norm with frequent gusts of approx.50-75 kmh occurring.( i forgot to record the "chill factor")
in these conditions, just getting all shots on paper @1000yds would be more than satisfying
cheers

Shoots like that are an adventure. hahah.
Keeping them all on paper is definitely a challenge. If you can form a group of some kind, it's pretty damn satisfying.
