Hi All
Just thought I would give a reminder that there will be a 600yd match shot at the Biloela range on the 20th of July.
Cost will be $15 and the shooting will be starting at 9am on the Sunday. Camping is available at the range if you are traveling.
Any further questions either post them here or send me a PM.

Albow, do we have to nominate with anyone? There is a few going from Townsville, 6 at last count, a few from Mackay and by all accounts there is going to be a fair few from the local district, so is there some sort of cut off number?

Not sure of a cutoff on numbers but we will have about 5 benches and with shooting starting at 9 we should be able to get through about 20 shooters in the day with no problems given we usually shoot 9 shooters in a couple of hours.
As far as nominations go provide me the details and I will keep track of who is going to be there.
Also I was speaking to the Biloela locals last night and they said they were expecting a big zero degrees last night so may need to pack all the winter woollies you've got for our townsville winter to try and keep warm

Hi Alan How did the shoot in Biloela go
who turned up to shoot and what scores did they shoot ?
is there any chance of a 600td shoot in townsville in the last two weeks of august -- like J R said there might be a chance of a catch up shoot because of the ones you have lost to the range work

Hi All
Firstly I would like to say thanks to the guys at Biloela and especially to Charles Arrowsmith for their friendliness and hospitality as the facilities they provided for us to camp were top notch.
A number of the local shooters came out to have a look at what we do for a 600yd benchrest match. The range is a little gem however as outlined by JR has a few little tricks in the wind which kept us guessing most of the day and the portable benches that they had were a little unstable but to the credit of the locals that were there when we pack them up it was into the back of a ute to take home and make them more rigid.
Full results are now posted in the competition results pages however the highlights were:
1st LG for score was Charlie Robinson on 185
1st LG for group to Bob Luther on 4.575"
1st HG for score and group was JR with 201 and 3.385"
Small group in LG to Bob Luther at 2.030" and small group HG was Tony Z at 2.710"
Single card high score in LG was Bob Luther with 49 and high score in HG was JR with 51
John not too sure how we would go with getting a 600 for August however in September we have a fly scheduled on Saturday the 12th and follow that with a 600 on Sunday the 13th. That would make it worth the trip up to give the lawton a run
