Kenny,

Get positive about the 30....you know it can shoot....have enough Karls to do some load development so will be loading and testing soon.

Did you get the email I sent you from Allo ?

Hi Kenny,

Yeah the wheels fell off early on Sunday.. :? .. my excuse is, I had a borrowed 6x scope and had a lot of trouble getting the crosshairs clear, I dropped way too many points at 200, but the time i had it sorted out it was too late. Dropped 3 points on the first target at 100 but then pulled it together to finish without dropping another point. The 6BR really started to perform towards the end - finished with a 50.4

Ended up 4th in the 2 gun.

Wanted: 6x compact leupold.

Cheers

Muz,

That is a bugger :( it's a lot harder than groups I reckon...once those points are dropped you can't get them back where as in group it seems easier to absorb a 'bad one' in the final agg

At least you got it sorted........unlike me  30 cal is now a swear word in my house

Kenny,

The offer is still there for that shocker of a barrel....I have to admit the 30br was the thing that got me the win...I'm still kickin myself for shooting a 9 on the first shot though....never thought I had a chance after Eppo shot the 250 at 200yds....maybe you should check that scope with a ppc barrel and see if it was the problem.

Muz,

I dont think you will be disappointed with your 30 when you get it going...Allo told me before the shoot that the 30s just haven't got what it takes...shame I wasn't quick enough to point out he was wrong at the presentation.

Steven,

I hope that barrel doesn't have a bend in it.....I don't want it coming back like a boomerang :x Maybe we could make dies out of it or sumtin

Hmmmm...I think Allo was on the money with the 6mm comment :D

Stinkitup,

It's shot for score, 1 shot at 5 bulls on the same card for 5 cards at 100 and 200 yds. The 10 ring is about a 1/2" diameter at 100 and 1" at 200.
In the centre of the 10 ring there is a dot that counts as an X when you hit it, so 1x9 and 24x10's with 19 shots breaking the dot would total - 249-19x......
It's really easy...just ask Muz and Steven... bloody smartarses

The 30 cal is supposed to be an advantage ...and is... (if you can shoot one  ) as the bigger hole has a better chance of breaking the dot or the higher scoring ring :D

Sounds like fun and something the old mauser could be used at. Whats the restrictions on rifles actions weight and I guess class's? And is it shot regularly at Seaham?
