Jeff

What range was that target shot ?

Do you consider that a good target ?

What do you expect a barrel to do before it is
worn out with your type of shooting ?

JR said "..It's any body's guess went it will die ..I'm ready ,now where's those fucin POP guns .."

Possibly on the morning of the 27 th. We shoot in the afternoon. RIP.

Nitro i think it was 100m  No it's not a good group, just look at those two fliers.

[quote="a.JR"]Hi Nitro , The range was 551yds or if you like from our 500met mound.. The target is not brilliant as it was in good conditions, the weather offered between you and target governs the tight group potential everytime i shoot ..It's a difficult time of year in the north with the Monsoons in full swing but if i had to guess i would say that the vertical is in the gun not the conditions .. This barrel is not as good as the previous one from a pure accuracy standpoint ..1st one died at 1250 rounds with a similar powder charge and the same bullet but had the potential to keep the bullets together at all distances better than this one ever has .. Wear is subjective and not a set thing , i will get out of a barrel the 1st time it throws a shot in 10 shot string ,that does not stop the barrel shooting club FLY matchs (5 shot).. Tony has my cartridge with a heavier bullet, less powder of a different brand and he has gone to 3000 rounds and if you want to win a score match against him bring your best, even now ,i can assure you ..JR,,Jeff Rogers..TZ thanks for the encouragement

JR

Thanks for the answers.

I don't have a gun that could do anything near what you guys can do
and not into bench rest type shooting - yet !, more of a field shot / hunter.

But even so, I can see the fliers which I assume would cost you a match but still a good group by 95% of people's standards !!!

Good luck.

Yeh but you don't throw the bathroom or the stairs in the dump after you've used them twice.

Travis, not saying your group will be like that, but with a rifle and scope set up for it and a little tuition you will find you might surprise yourself.

I must say, my first (and only) 1000yd comp had a good first target and the feeling was way better than the feeling from shooting any feral ever.

Its addictive.
