How long (if it hasn't been done already) before this case is being necked up or down; I can just see a 22, a 6mm, and who knows what other versions in the future...
We shooters are a finicky bunch, almost never satisfied.

I really don't see much point in it mate, it is only going to underperform any of the .308 based cases, same action length needed etc. Maybe if you want to seat a heavy bullet out to the full length magazine it would work but instead of limiting case capacity by deep seating, you are pre-limiting capacity by using a smaller case.

While the US shooters using semi-autos could use the shorter case in those actions, I really don't see any advantage in a bolt action rifle - the .260 Rem, unimproved, would perform better, in the same length action.

woob,

HiWall is right on the money. The case was purpose designed for Highpower in the USA where being able to seat heavy bullets out in semi auto magazines is deemed a good thing. These guys are not using hot loads either so the limited case capacity is no big issue for them.

As far as it being worth while for other uses its not going to better the 308 faily or the 6.5x47L, 6BRX etc.

cheers
