The March scopes are supposed to be the absolute best and having up to 60X is being pushed hard .. but ... Unless they have worked out a way to remove the mirage from the range then you wont see anymore than anyone else can.
The fact is that at 500 you can see holes with a 36X and at 1000 you wont see holes at all anyway so its a lot of money for little gain IMHO.
The ranges in the US are not the same as here and often dont have ant major mirage issues, as such they are not a very good guide for Australian conditions.
cheers

FWIW, we have three of those March scopes over here in Adelaide. I shot a group using a benchrest rifle and a Bausch and Lomb 36x, then another group using the March 40x and then another group (all at 300 yards) with a Sightron 36x on board.
In order of clarity, it was the B&L by a whisker from the Sightron and the March a bit behind. A couple of other guys had a look and agreed with me.
So take that with a grain of the proverbial salt. Maybe this March was not a good example, but it sure did not suit my eyes.
I thanked the guy who owned it, as he had just saved me $2600 AUD

Sully had his new March in Springsure recently. Even he said it was no clearer than his existing 45 Leup. BUT, it has no POI issues. That is much more important. They are not worth anywhere near the money they are asking. The sales are riding on the Leups unreliability. Leupold is to bring out a new model shortly i have been told.

Its a a bloody circle ...
Years ago we had scopes which were fixed and used external adjustments ...
Then we got all clever and put the adjustments inside ...
Now the best POI scopes are "Frozen" (ie Internals no longer move) and the lovely Gene Buky TSI adjustable mounts
mmmm Back to the future
And no neck turn chambers are winning BR matches ....
I sense a disturbance in the force
Keep your money in your pocket, learn to read the wind and pick changes and practice, practice, practice ... you will get a better results that way than by getting a March scope.
cheers
