It was cold on Saturday but glorious on Sunday.
One bloke asked me why I shot my 5 shots so quickly. I replied, I just wanted to get back out of the wind and warm up.
Was a great event as usual. Welcoming locals, dedicated travelling shooters. Lots of knowledge passed about. New friends made. And despite my crappy shooting I had fun.
Thanks again Dave and the Narromine club.
Cheers

hi trev
yep, thought that might be the case!!!
be great to see you and all others again for 2018.
given the experiences learned this year, next year we are going to limit the Copperhead 600yd BR Championships to a maximum of 35 competitors.
The ExtraVision 1000yd BR SCC Championships will be limited to 40 competitors.
these decisions were made in view of ensuring that regardless of the existing light and weather conditions, we can be fairly sure to complete the planned shooting schedules for both events in the allotted time.
as you witnessed if we had catered for the original 45 nominees for the 600 and for the original 54 for the 1000, it would have been a disaster this year.
it would not have been possible to run through and complete all planned details on their respective days.
we are meeting this weekend to discuss the positives and negatives from this year and then run a few ideas around for the 2018 shooting programme.
I will post it once all has been finalised.
cheers
dave

Got home, put the new barrel in the gun, development for next year starts Saturday, and yes, the next barrel is slightly larger than the last. Will shoot 187 BIB's at 3100+ fps. Now I just have to get a decent LG barrel as well.
I would like to thank our sponsors, Ken Melgaard, Optimus and Extravision, as well as the organisers, with DG at the front of that queue.
