Excellent news. I hope our media outlets give this the coverage it deserves (eg. unlike some tennis brats)

Nope, here are results for Grand AGG.

http://www.dcra.ca/results/2017/CFRC/a877.htm

Consisted of 6 matches, over 3 days. 100 scoring shots. Rod was 489.41. He put all but 10 shots into the 1MOA "5 ring", and 41 of those were in the 1/2 MOA "V" ring. 70 of those scoring shots were at 900 metres (approx 1000 yards).

Credit also to Adam Pohl from South Australia who came third in the world.

Just so you know Bob, it was that stock you made for me that I won the World Championship with.

The Connaught range in Canada is known to be very tricky and it lived up to its reputation by having some very difficult wind conditions. It has been a lot of work and effort to get to this stage, constant brass prep, tuning, practice, experimenting etc

As for gear. I used one gun in 7mm SAUM to come second in the Canadian Nationals when we first arrived and another radical new gun, also in 7mm SAUM which Bob Eager made the stock for to win the World Championship. Both of these guns were about the most accurate 1000yd guns there which really helped in the tricky conditions..

I now intend to take a break from target shooting and stick to varmint hunting for the near future.
