2017 Southern Cross 1000yd- Copperhead 600yd BR Championships

not long to go, roughly 6 weeks.

presently trying to contact nominees and obtain final numbers for the Copperhead Australian 600yd BR and the Southern Cross 1000yd BR Championship.

the 2107 SCC Commemorative Caps are in the State colours of Western Australia.

Brad Y will naturally receive a sample cap !!!!



last weekend (which previously, has been the traditional SCC dates) due to a few minor frosts, a number of pipes burst in Narromine causing extensive water damage to quite a few houses and buildings.

of course in august the breezes will prevent the frosts from forming !!!!

depending on light ,visibility and cloud cover etc, I am guessing and hoping we should be able to commence the 600 sight in at 8.30am.

with a bit of luck, I am trying to get the locals to do their approx. sighting the weekend before and for many of the visitors to do theirs on the Wednesday.

but I realise and accept that some locals and visitors will not be able to attend until the Thursday morning.

going on our few club 600 matches, the sight in period has been, "touchwood" without any great dramas.

but, I have learn't not to assume 'what should happen' as against 'what does happen' !!!

yep, the SCC 1000 is the 19th / 20th august

the Copperhead 600 is the Thursday prior, the 17th of august.

would you be interested in attending either or both?

numbers wise at the moment

we have 46 definites and 2 probables for the SCC 1000yd BR

HGB -4

LGB - 20

LGM - 24


for the Copperhead 600yd BR

not sure of the HG/LG breakup, but there appears to be 42 definites and 3 probables.

although fluctuations may and probably will occur over the next month.

following the match ND 1000 yesterday, a few people have indicated they wish to change from LGM to LGB - nominations adjusted accordingly.

in about a fortnight, if there are any vacancies remaining,( providing total nominations are less than 50 for the SCC), those who travel the farthest, will have the first option to shoot both HG and LG , if they wish to do so.
