Young bloke has been at Puckapunyal for the last week competing in AASAM

Had been telling me how good he was on MG but after a 70th place finish has decided he isn't a machine gunner
Hasn't been going to bad in the rifle matches 21st, 27th, 21st, 52nd & 13th so far, still a bit to go, the Australian Army Top 100 Competitors are eliminated to 20 on the final day to determine the Champion Shot of the Army.
Should make the top 100 might even scrape into the top 20, was saying he is by far the youngest there and their gear isn't up to the standard of a lot of the others so a pretty good effort all things considered.

AASAM is a good week of shooting.

Just sent us a pic of the individual service rifle aggregate finished 12th, going to check later and see if the champion shot aggregates have been posted doesn't think he will have gone real well as a lot of it was totally new to him.

still..... good tyb for havin a crack and doin well.
maybe next yr,now that he knows whats what

Sounds like he did real well for a first timer and will be chasing them real hard next time round.
