Oh yes, it will be real warm. Should get up to 10 degrees through the day.

Where is everyone staying for this shoot? Dubbo or Narromine?

Hi Ken Jeff H will no doubt be along shortly. Best would be for him to send a sample. The way I understand it jackets are the issue with these bullets as they are no longer supplied for whatever reason. Unless of course a real smart person would go with green box jackets instead?

While you are here Ken, do you have or have you tried a 6 mm FB on your 103 point in the 85 to 95 grain range? Looking for a FB bullet in that style for 600 IBS.

Hi Ken,

PM me your address, I will send a few down. On my way home from Narromine, a little heavier in the car with the plunder.

Jeff

Hi Tony,
Great to hear that you are back shooting again. Hope is is well with you.
Yes, cannot keep up the demand for the 103 grain 6mm VLD bullets, l can have look at a FB bullet, have the jackets, so, can make them, probably a few weeks until l catch up with orders, though.
Re Green box jackets been there but need to order 100K jackets before they are interested in talking business
Will keep in touch
Cheers
Ken

G'day Ken, have heard of your bullets, I think a couple of members here use them on live targets, would you care to share a couple of your secrets, maybe a photo and a write up of the making of them, I reckon there would be a fair few interested. :D

G'day Camel,

Was a good shoot, conditions were extreme, Jacko reckons the worst in 16 years. Last year he got high score target, I got small group. We repeated that, but swapped the score and group aggs, which means I now have a matching pair of jackets, pretty chuffed with that. You know it's tough when only two HG finish on paper, let alone all the slower, lower BC stuff.
The event was easily up to the normal fantastic Narromine standard, so a big well done to DG and his crew, as well as a big thanks to all the sponsors for their great support.

Jeff

g'day jeff

thanks for the feedback.

as you know, without the assistance of all in attendance and some who had contributed previously( but could not attend) the match would not have run as it did.

as you also know, we had no surplus bodies, so although it was not planned, the fact, that you and trev did extra to your scoring duties was appreciated by all. :D :D :D

same for mr bending, in addition to the entertainment that he always brings, he worked his rear end off from the tuesday to the sunday, which many would not appreciate or be aware of!!!!! Thanks jacko :D :D :D

condition wise, the Saturday blows while not the strongest we have shot in at ND 1000yds,they would certainly be up there in the ratings.

once or twice in recent years we have had to cancel 1000yd BR club shoots when funny things happened, like targets and frames launching out of the butts and clearing the electric fence and then the prevailing winds lifting the wooden benches (with guns/rests sitting on top) such that the cross hairs danced from over the top of the target to under the bottom ????

next year if the 600yd BR is a goer, we will definitely do all we can to offer it on the Thursday prior.

otherwise, it will be an independent GunPro 1000yd BR match. either way GunPro are keen to sponsor whatever eventuates.

we intend to have an evaluation meeting with club members, (to notify all of the changes for 2017), and then I will post and advise the new arrangements.

cheers
dave
