Went out to the Townsville SSAA range this arvo to watch and help run the 600 yard comp; bitching conditions with winds gusting (in my uninitiated opinion ) up to 25-30k.
Some pretty good shooting, with the usual (for Townsville ) great groups blown by that one shot. aJR pulled best group with his heavy asymetric sight-mounted 300 Redneck witha sub1.6" group.
Yep, under 1.6" at 600 yards, 5 shots. His best potential group was blown by a condition change that resulted in a group of around the 4" mark; i was in the butts and watched it happen; the fourth shot was the problem, the other four ran under the inch! Bugger me, can that rig shoot!
I don't have the results, but i believe the group average (8 shooters, 4 groups each) ran around the 4-5" area. I hope aJR or TonyZ can get the results (and maybe photos) up soon.
