thankfully the weather gods were extremely friendly on both days.
saturday was a reasonably calm and pleasant day, with the predicted rain on sunday holding off until after the match was finished.
sunday's conditions were cold and gusting NE winds which certainly required additional sight adjustments and concentration at all times.
as can be seen in the attached results ( competition portal) the standard of shooting was the highest ever experienced on the N-D range since the introduction of 1000yd BR.
New N-D club records were established in HG and LG by Jeff Harrison, Tony Zubalj, Tim Pavey and Trevor Armstrong.
Congratualtions to these gentlemen on the high and consistent standard they were able to maintain over the 2 days.
Additionally, on behalf of the members of the Narromine Dubbo Rifle Club, I would like to like to thank all who attended for their co-operation, assistance, humour and flexibility during their visit.
I especially appreciated the tremendous help and advice provided byJohn McQuire, Don Parravicini, Trevor Armstrong, Tony Z, Jeff Harrison, Jacko and Alan Nielsen during the thursday/friday practise days. Thanks fellahs
We appreciate and do not take for granted, the time, effort and expense that is involved by those who travelled great distances to attend.
It was great to meet Paul and Tracey Deehan from Corryong and Trevor Weaklegs from Cairns
Locally, Sam, Larry, Ray, Scot, cooks Jim/Lionel, Brooksy,Dave Forster,Jim B, Peter Kay,Peter and Henry Taylor all assisted in so many different ways.
To all, thankyou again!!!!!!!!!
The theme colours for the 2014 SCC will be the state colours of Victoria.
The proposed dates will be published as soon as they are determined.
Those interested in attending the 2014 SCC need to pm via this forum, or phone 0268892141 or email dg1048@yahoo.com.au. At this stage, given fog, light and weather factors the maximum entry number will be 7 details (35 shooters)
Jeff Harrison with his "baby". the nevermind loving HG
the smiling assassin Jack Saligari (HG)
the Pocket Rocket from Cairns, Trevor Armstrong (LG)
Ray Mulholland ( Ballimore ) LG
Tim Pavey (Branxton) 6mm BR LG
SCC is a pretty serious day of competition
Jack, John, Don and Jacko.
and again, too much humour!!!!
Larry Bartimote and Sam Foreman
arguably, Australias most keen travelling LRBR competitor, John McQuire from McKay.
Tracey Deehan keeping an eye on husband Paul
Youngest Australian 1000yd BR International (blind) competitor Stuart Goodridge
cheers

Great Pics Dave. Good to see you feeling better. Congrats to all the guys at the Narromine Club on a great shoot. I will be back next year to defend the title, and hopefully lower the HG record a little more.
It should be pointed out that Tim Pavey was also under the old HG record.
It was really good to see some younger competitors, the sport really needs them. Weather was just peachy, I don't think it got over 15 the whole comp, so us northerners really felt it. Competition next year for the HG crown should be fierce, JR should be back, TZ will be back, maybe with a new gun?, I'm in, Tim Pavey might be there, as well as Jack, Jacko and Paul Deehan. Maybe some of the other HGs around the country might make the effort, it's well worth it.
Thanks for a great weekend Dave.

Jeff
thanks for the kind and thoughtful words.
i'll have to apologise to Tim for his omission, which has now been corrected.
next year we will also insure that the Heavy Guns have more time to clean between details.
maybe even by 2014, we might have a local Heavy Gun gunsmith/champion field & game shooter/talented 308 2 time N-D 1000yd BR winner having a crack in the International 10 shot class
as we discussed over the weekend, the success of any event depends on the co-operation, flexibility, goodwill and helpfull deeds and attitudes of all who attend.
cheers
