10 deg C, with 10 deg wind chill, the early session was just peachy, wind straight down range into your face, just the wake up call we needed. Conditions later in the day were downright welcoming though. Looking forward to tomorrow, should be another good test day.

Re: SCC Activities
Couldn't make it this year but should be right again for next year. Haven't fired a shot in 6 months in fact ... gotta sort that out.
Good luck to all and congratulations to Dave G for running what looks like another top weekend

Gooday Grant and Dave. Well the shoots over but unfortunately DG has taken a little ill. Nothing serious just a real bad dose of sea sickness they tell me but I reckon it may have been all the small groups getting shot all around making him a little dizzy.
Tim Pavey and his 6.5 is working like a champ with his 165 mm HG group and Jeff Harrison with his Neverminds running in a 155 mm is proof that the time spent rebuilding was worth the effort. Jacko took out HG score agg just half a point ahead of myself and Tim. Trev Legweak shot a 97 mm as I did in LG so there is a tie for small group so still no screamers unfortunately in either class.
Can't say much about others but I ran a 5.4, 5.7, 3.8 and 8.2 to finish with LG group agg for the two days. Trev followed close by with some very good shooting all weekend. DG took out score agg with a very measured display of controlled shooting in some tough winds today. Know nothing of either the marked classes or 308/223 category.
All in all a very well run event with us already booking in accommodation for next year. Great to meet up with Tracy and Paul Deehan where we can hopefully get down to an event in Corryong some day.
Lastly I would like to say a big thanks to all the Narromine rifle club members for running the event, to DG for his tireless work behind the scenes and a huge thanks to Ken Melgaard for making and supplying the worlds best long range 6mm bullet.
