I am sure the rifle you are building for me will be a winner Shane so I'll have a go in Leeton next year.

Come on guys,
200m rimfire which is the formal rimfire Fly yardage ... lots of fun and the cost is a few 22 rounds ....
300m Centrefire Fly .. you can shoot that with any varmit rifle hell even a good hunting rifle ..
You wont get a better opportunity to try target shooting in a relaxed atmosphere. You might even enjoy yourself.
Shane I will be there with both my boys .. hell might even give the 25.06 a run myself.
cheers

Don't wait for Shane to finish your rifle to shoot next year. Take what ever you have in the cupboard as I was shooting my varmint rifle while waiting to get my LR rifle together.
Regardless of what you are shooting, it is all a learning experience.... and fun
You could also ask Shane real nice, beg even, to see if he could get your rifle finished as that match is four weeks away

If dates and work dont clash and I get my rifle sorted I will try and make it up there. How many rounds do I need for a full fly comp? This could be the beginning of a horribly expensive addiction.
Cheers Jethro
Anywhere to camp and secure firearms overnight?

I'm off work just I may have a camping trip organised.. I know camping in Winter, but its a camping/fishing/drinking trip.....
If I can make it, 300m and the Dasher may be a nice combination??????
We'll see!!!!!!!!!!
Cheers

Dave i will book you in for next year. You wont go real well with only a stock this year! But what else do you have in the safe?
No worries Rinso the boys and yourself are in.
Jethro you will need 50 rounds for each day, that will give you a few spares.
There is a caravan park just up the road with cabins and plenty of motels and pubs in town.
Keep me posted AI.
cheers,
Shane

To all of you down-south blokes who can't make the Ironman in Townsville, go to the Leeton weekend in August and get to know each other. You never know, in the future we could be having really HUUUUUGE shoots with heaps of blokes and adies all having fun and shooting records.
Good luck, and tight groups to all who attend.

OK, I said to myself I wasnt interested in target shooting, but Rinso has convinced me I need to come and meet some blokes have some fun burning powder and socialise over a beer or two later.
Just one small detail to check and then can someone give me the caravan parks number so i can book a cabin.

trevort,
Good onya mate
What about the rest of you sad sacks ....
only 200m with a rimfire and 300 with a centrefire ...
I might even bring the ole 25.06 featherweight ...
you dont need a target rifle and nightforce scope to shoot 300 ...
you could use any centrefire ...
Come along .. have some fun ... you might even like it.
Worst case senario, you get to burn some powder and shoot the shit with the boys ... beats mowing the lawn.
cheers

Ogre, if your health permits, you know a lift is an open offer. If the cabin has two rooms no point me paying for an unused bed.

Leeton Oasis caravan park 02 6953 3882
Leeton Caravan park 02 6953 3323
Both are about 5 min from the range, just check what style of rooms they have available.
Ogre whats wrong with your 6mmBR? It will handle it fine.

Shane
