Well the weekend just gone saw the first weekend of competition shooting for Townsville long-range. Some tricky wind and some tough conditions made shooting 550 and 1000 yards rather challenging. There was however at least one window in the conditions with Trevor Armstrong shooting a fine 3.150" group at 1000 yards to set a new small-group record for light gun at the Townsville range.
Full results will be posted later this week.

Great result Trevor!
Good to see the TSV 1000BR shooters their part and giving the N-D 1000BR shooters something to aim for.

Re: New small-group record in Townsville
The full results are now posted for the 1000yd match.
Trev has had a good run with his 284 over the last few trips down from up north and he will be back next month again....... with new brass this time. If he has been shooting this well with his old brass, can't wait to see what he can do with some new stuff
Steve also did very well with the 308 factory rifle to shoot a very good 8.4" day agg.... oh and did I mention it was with a borrowed rifle which beat the owner on the day too
See you all again next month.
