5th 1000yd Townsville bench Match

Hi all , Never ceases to amaze my how little i know about 1000yd Benchrest shooting .. You would reckon after 13 years i would have got a handle on it by now ,but this Sunday gone proved to me how little i know .. All it had to be was a new and different wind and it was novice time .. Tough day ,it was just like the 1st time i shot at the big ranges in the south , no f...n smarter from start to finish And the groups showed just that .. Can't ,wait for the trip to Narromine ,should be able to stuff that up as well ..JR..Jeff Rogers

Between no gun and spinal surgery, I'm glad I had a cast iron excuse to sit this one out, mind you, a 7" day agg isn't to be sneezed at. Well done all.

Where can I find out about the Narromine shoot?
I don't have the gear (or ability) to compete but I need to head 'out that way' soon so a look see might be in order...

The Dubbo-Narromine blokes shoot five matches a year in March, May, July, September and November as part of the postal with the Virginian 1000yd club. The person that you can speak to is Dave Goodridge and his name on here is dg.
The next shoot is on Sunday July 22.

in regard to our july 1000yd BR match, we have note advertised it ,due to the fact that we can only accommodate a maximum of 30 shooters.
for a considerable period of time, we have had 30 competitors (plus 4 at the moment on a reserve list) indicating they will be attending.
however, yourself and anyone else would be most welcome to attend on the day, to socialise, view proceedings, check out the gear, make suggestions, help me improve my wind reading skills etc etc.
in addition to our regular members and visitors, we are very appreciative of the time, efforts and expense being made by competitors from townsville, victoria and southern nsw to attend the Southern Cross 1000yd BR Rendezvous.
if attending, just let me know, so we can order extra snags, drinks etc.
