It is once again extremely pleasing to be able to announce that the International 1000yd BR Postal Matches will continue this year.

We are indebted to the following organisations and sponsors for their ongoing support and recognition.

* President Mr Jeff Stover and the IBS Organisation in the USA

* President Mr Jeff Green and his fellow members of the Virginia 1000yd BR Club

* Managing Director of ExtraVision Australia Mr Klaus Misins, for sponsoring and providing prizes for the winners of the Heavy Gun and Light Gun Group and Score Aggregate categories.

* Proprietors of R&J Sports Goods ( Darwin), David and Cathy Gifford for providing 1000 HBC projectiles to the 6 match agg winner of the BJD trophy for competitors using 308 or 223 calibres.

“Smileys” will continue to be provided and awarded to all deserving and highly talented HG & LG 1000yd BR competitors who are able to achieve this superb standard of LRBR marksmanship.

Note that: - only International IBS rules are applicable for competitors who wish to be involved in this competition.

cheers

our "smiley" awards are as per the IBS "screamer" standards.

Light Gun, 5 shots in less than 3", Heavy Gun 10 shots in less than 5".

Obviously the standards, individual challenges and difficulty of International 1000yd BR competition have increased in recent years.

Who would want it any other way!!!! :D :D

308 or 223 rifle all up weight (including scope, mounts, bolt, action, barrel, stock etc), may not exceed 17lbs. ie the same as the Light Gun weight limits. PM sent.
