Hi All

Today was the last 1000yd match for 2011 in Townsville and the conditions certainly were out to test everyone with a good dose of mirage early on and the usual switching winds that could cost you a NG before you new it if not watching closely.

In HG the score agg for the day went to Jeff H with a 183.1, group agg went to JR with 10.898" and small group of the day went to Bob L with a 9.960".

For LG score agg went to Eric G with 89, group agg went to myself with 4.984" and small group was also myself with 4.344"

The barrels had barely cooled from the days shooting with the plans for the rebuilds, upgrades, enhancements and improvements for 2012 were heavily under discussion. This year has seen some superb results posted so I look forward to seeing what can be produced in the new year. Well done to all who have attended over the year and see you next season.

Well done Alan on an outstanding effort in some tough conditions.
I think the best thing i did yesterday was leave early to go and chase some pigs. A pair of 14s is is fucking disgrace when the conditions i had were really pretty good. I couldn't miss the center of the target when i was in the sighter period, and then i couldn't hit the target during the record. Still haven't learnt a thing after all these years.
Oh yeah, never got a pig either.

G'day Dave

Yeah finally got it all together and very happy with the result :D

See what we can do with next year. Looks like we will have another full calendar next season with at least 10 x 1000yd matches for the year and similar for the 550yd BR that we shoot.

Hopefully I will be making more of a presence in the 550 next season as the gun will have a new barrel so I won't have to save it to make it through the season for the 1000yd. It definitely comes down to time at the trigger and this year I have been behind the 8 ball with only shooting once a month.
