Is Gertrude getting the gernsey this weekend mate or are you still hammering that dasher and 284?

The Dasher and 284 stay locked away until the big shoots and I use the 6PPC, 22BR and and now Gertrude for others.
I baptised the 6.5 Gertrude last Sunday at Gosford, used it for a 15 shot match. I tried some different loads in the 15 shot match and shot through a big downpour and she held good elevation even with soaked barrel, scope and an action full of water, so wet chambers dont worry it. It did lose 2 shots on each side due to wet flags and inattention from myself, so I cant blame her for that. Like Gertrudes namesake, she goes well when she's wet.
I will try some more loads in her again at Hornsby for the 600 and 700M stages.

Having never shot Fullbore, F-Class etc and living about 15 minutes away I would be interested in having a sticky beak.
Is there any problem with turning up for a look see?

Col, visitors are extemely welcome at any of these competitions. Try to track me down at the meeting and I will explain what is going on and how it all works. Look at the score boards behind the shooters to find my name, and come say Gday. I,m not sure what the rule is on Non NRAA members having a shot, but I will pack some extra ammo incase you can have a try.

No worries Rod,
I have gained a few hours leave from gardening duties, so I will wander down and have a look.
I will try and find you. Don't worry about the extra ammo, I have run prize shoots before and it is busy enough without non-competing visitors clogging up the works.
Col.

I wandered down to Hornsby today to have a look.
Looks like plenty of fun.
Ran into a couple of blokes I knew, so that was interesting.
Also ran into our very own RDavies. The image below is of Ron "doin' the do" at 500.

I tell ya what he can shoot. Pretty tricky winds and he returned a 60.4. although he was apparently "doing some load testing". I'd like to see what he can do if he ever gets the load sorted out.
This next fella, don't know his name but in 18Bn fashion he was keeping the flame alive.
A bloke could easily get sucked into spending a lot of time and money throwing copper and lead long distances...
