Howdy All

Yesterday saw the second match for Townsville in July at the 1000yd line.

Conditions were tough to be consistent in with the opportunity to go from shooting great groups to an average one rather quickly. Most of the regulars were there with a new shooter, Kev turning up to give the LG boys a lesson in how to score with his 300 RUM hunting rifle :) well done Kev and if anyone knows his last name can you let me know

In HG Jeff Harrison had a win for both Group and Score with 9.500" and 192.5 aggs for the day. Small group for HG was taken by Jeff Rogers with a 5.775" which gives him yet another group under the magic 6" mark and a very nice 6 match result panning out.

In LG some bloke named Kev won for score with a 91 and Tony Z won the group agg with a 8.038" and small group of 5.625"

Full results are also up for all to view.

Well done again. Those groups are really great, again :D .
jeez makes me very jealous.I had a 13 and 14 inch pair at Canberra.Mick managed a 7" group but we had a fairly poor day really.
Good work and congrats to all.
cheers

Hi Macca , Sure is the luck of the draw hey .. I got a 5.7in going in the heavy mirage during the 1st target and then when it was right reasonable during the second i had an extractor fail .. By the time i used the cleaning rod style extractor device i had the last 3 shots 6ins away in the 8 ring for a 13in with a 94.. Happy with my 6 match but ,1st time under 6ins .. Groups in 2011 go 7.300/ 5.408/5.569/ 5.588/ 5.849/ 5.775 for a 5.914 ins 6 target AGG.. got more matchs but the mirage is all downhill up this way from now on .. This Bartlien is nearly stuffed ,it won't keep em together like some of the other barrels but it's an honest 5.0 barrel and it won't matter in the soup we will shoot in for the rest of '11 anyhow..JR.. Thanks Shane , Yep your new customer had a blast .. A win in score with a brand new cannon has hooked him .. He is already talkng about bullet qualification and he has only fired 10 record shots at 1K.. As always it's the tiny things all joined together that make up to the final result..JR..Jeff Rogers
