More info please- can I compete even if I'm not a member of what ever sub club is running the shoot even though I'm a SSAA member.
I'll try and get some 6BR loads made but will be quite busy right up untiil the day.
So what can I do to pre-prepare for the shoot??
THanks

I know Ican go to any SSAA shooting ground in AU and have a shot- but what about competeting in a sub clubs competition without being a member of that sub club??
Also are is here a sight in day before hand or ????
When you go to LR on the Weekend people get pissed at you for shooting 500 and taking a long time for the cease fires.
It would be much quicker if we could drive or even push bike upto the 500M line instead of having to walk it.
Thanks

At the Fly shoots they are run professionally. There is no walking to the 500m line, a car is used.
Get in contact with Peter Van Meurs about a sight in before hand. You need to let him know you are going as well, as he has to draw up the bench roster.
You have one sighter target at the comp. before things get serious.
What twist is your 6br? WHat projectiles you going to use? There is the 90 Lapua Scenar if you have a 10twist.
Cheers

ogre6br,
As indicated in another post mate ring and book a spot .. I have spoken to Peter and there will be practice on Friday at the range.
You can compete as long as you pay the entry fee usually about $35
You get to keep your targets.
We will sledge you if you do too well
If you need a hand on the day with moving your gear around we will help you out (promise not to drop your gun more than twice)
Just make yourself known when you get there
cheers

Cant get out of a training course that I've been trying to do for about 2 years.
This will be the first SOTY(exc QLD) event that I have missed in a few years.
I'll miss you all
Rinso
I've asked AI to give you the hugs that you normaly need to get you through a shoot.
