TSV's 1ST 1000yd for '07

Hi all ,1st 1000yd Benchrest report for '07 .. Today saw light winds and light mirage for TSV ,probably as good as we have had offered for some time .. The little following switch kept all from any real small ones .still some great results ,Bob N with the 284w kept up his SH performances ,just like he has this year at 600yd ,at 1K he shot Small Group at 5.42ins and ended with a day agg of 5.64 ins (Mabye a range record),Our own Blackpete shot a L/G HS day agg win of 94 ,onya Pete ...Heavy gun SG was 4.73ins , day agg was 5.86 ,HS was 100.4and day agg of 194.6..This is a great start to the year ,especially for me !!..JR..Jeff Rogers..Pic of my target

As this thread could soon be very popular due to Jr's record target I thought I would put out the word for a new extractor to suit a Krico action. If anyone has one I am very keen to get hold of it as I'm sick to death of having to eject every second case with the bloody cleaning rod.

As Jr said, the conditions weren't that bad yesterday (except for the switching breeze) and i believe i could have grouped a little better had this ejection problem not been there.

But the real bonus for the day was just being there to see the new Australian record for IBS 1000 yrd (H/G) being set, congrats to Jr, glad to see you getting the holes on the right target this time Jeff.

Yea guys ,if i could only get the vertical out ,right ..I'm going to the Bris 1000yd match in May , the locals say there is a bit of he same thing ,big time (vertical) down there ,we'll pass judgement on the range post match ..their even going to let me shoot blind..It's a pity i could not talk some of the my fellow Nth Qld shooters to come along ,i know we would not be disgraced ..JR..Jeff Rogers ...............

Kenny , I much prefere to say i had to jump through hoops ,than think about cavity's mate..Yea thats the one's ,they ended up at just under 80 cents each bullet ,but they are in my humble opinion the best LR benchrest bullet in the world and i guess should cost more.. But it does not make it any easier when you got to cough up a $1000 a time and then wait 11months to get the next lot .. Still i'm going to give the fly SOTY a miss this year and go to Bris for 1000yd events so i'll have plenty of projectiles left..Might see you and Nashy in Brisbane for a 1000yd match mabye ..JR..jeff Rogers

Ya never know what might happen......Brissy is probably the closest range for us to and I haven't shot a 1000yd match yet.......jeez I am tempted....though with my warn out 6 and a 1/2 I may as well shoot at the target from here

Hi Ken , I think Brisbane has got the potential to bring a few 1000yd shooters out of the woodwork,it location is better for all to get to ..I have no idea of the possibility's for shootin small ones as the results so far have been not great ,mabye it's a tough place ..You got to stop pissin around at the 100/200 ,open up your mind mate to a real challenge ,like 1000yds .. a 6br is in it's ellement at 1K ,you got one of them haven't ya..Have not spoke to Tim Pavey for a while so i'll ring him tonight to see if he wants to go to this shoot so we can get on the piss .. Mabye 2 more from Townsville coming down now, Bob n just shot 2 x 5 inchers in a row and PH toped out the score with a 94 for the day .. Pity we can't get TZ to come on down ,he thinks Brisbane is a prefect spot for a nuclear test sight as long as ya can get most of the people out first ..I just realized that the day score i shot on sunday is the highest recorded so far as well as the other marks ..JR..Jeff Rogers ps if can make it the both of ya's just shoot nashys 30cal .
